In this course you will learn about the synergies among passive and active-RFID applications. In particular, you will learn in details the techniques used for RTLS, from the simple RF proximity of a passive tag to the more complex and accurate algorithms used with UWB radios. This first part of the course is specially designed to provide an overview of the technologies and related business opportunities and is directed to business manager as well as technical personnel. In the second part of the course you will be acquainted with a very thin and efficient programming language used for wireless sensors and active-RFID. Differently from other course specifically tailored for selected platforms, you will be given a comprehensive overview of the language, programming techniques and applications on various hardware platforms. A set of hands-on sessions will allow you to exercise what you learn with real world solutions.
What You'll Learn in Class - RFID class of devices (passive, semi-active and active).
- RFID industrial and consumer applications.
- An overview of the Real Time location Systems techniques and leading products.
- TinyOS language: programming techniques and hands-on tutorials.
